The State Statistical Office is an institution that produces and disseminates statistical data and at the same time is the coordinator of the National Statistical System. The State Statistical Office also represents the National Statistical System in Europe and in the world.
In accordance with the Law on State Statistics, the State Statistical Office is a professional and independent institution. The number and type of statistical surveys conducted by the Office and other participants in the statistical system are determined by the Five-Year Programme of Statistical Surveys.
