Controller on the collection of personal data
The controller of personal data is the State Statistical Office (hereinafter: SSO), with headquarters at Dame Gruev no. 4, Skopje, Republic of North Macedonia.
SSO is a professional and independent organization within the state administration in the Republic of North Macedonia. The basic functions of the institutions are the collection, processing and dissemination of statistical data for demographic, social and economic phenomena in the Macedonian community.
In addition, the State Statistical Office is the main holder and coordinator of the country's statistical system, it is the institution responsible for international cooperation in the field of statistics, as well as for defining statistical methodologies and standards and for ensuring the protection of individual data collected from individuals and legal entities.
Whose data are we collecting
We can collect data related to the following categories of persons:
- Visitors to our website www.stat.mk. We usually collect navigation data (see below) which is used to analyze data from visits to our website. Read more about the use of cookies in our cookie policy.
- Persons requesting access to information of a public nature based on the Law on Free Access to Information of a Public Nature. In order to process requests for access to information, applicants are required to provide certain data, based on the Law on Free Access to Information of a Public Character.
Categories of the data being processed
1. Data for navigation
When visiting our website , by erver logs with the following data are created for each visitor:
- Your Internet Protocol (IP) address;
- Device from which you access, type and model;
- Your operating system;
- Search view, plugins and version;
- The pages you visit on our website and the time you spend on each page;
- The URL of the page that has already been transferred to our website and in some cases, the terms that you used when trying to find the page of the DZS;
- The language of the search engine you use;
- Country (determined by IP addressee).
We independently maintain the servers and conduct all activities on the website internally, including the logs that are created and the analysis of the data that is transferred from the visit to our website.
2. Data that users provide voluntarily
The personal data that we collect from your visits to our website are those that you voluntarily provide for specific purposes, in order to enable us to exercise our powers, such as receiving notifications by e-mail, data requests.
They can collect any of the following categories of personal data: first and last name, e-mail, phone, address, city, country. Our Annual Report usually contains information on the number of employees in a form that does not reveal anyone's identity.
