The new design of the website aims to improve the availability and clarity of statistical data and to provide simpler and quicker access to the latest information

The new website is part of the efforts of the State Statistical Office to ensure greater transparency and understandability of statistical data. The redesigned website is user-oriented, modernised and optimised for all types of devices, in order to meet the needs of users and facilitate the process of using statistical information.

The new design of the website aims to improve the availability and clarity of statistical data and to provide simpler and quicker access to the latest information. With the modern layout and clearly organised content, visitors can browse more easily and download data from various areas, such as demography, economy, labour market, standard of living, external trade, industry, education, environment, etc.

When talking about statistical products, our goal is to generate interest in their use. We are launching the new website in anticipation of the celebration of 80 years of official statistics in the country. As an institution with a long tradition and coordinator of the national statistical system, the visual identity of the institution is particularly important and has enormous significance for recognising official statistics as the first choice when using data. With the new website, new logo and new URL, we are starting the process of rebranding the institution.

The conceptual design of the logo is based on bars, which are commonly used for graphical presentation of data. The three vertical bars represent the main activity of the Office, and the gradual increase in their height is associated with development.
In the upper part, the bars are connected by horizontal elements, forming the letter "M", the first letter of "Macedonian Statistics". This symbol is also associated with a building – institution, stability, growth, success.

The colours used in the logo are in the warm colour palette, i.e. a mixture of yellow and red – the colours of our flag, in several gradients. This selection of colours symbolises movement, growth, positivity, optimism. These colours have been chosen as they are visible on both light and dark backgrounds.

All these activities aim to reflect the efforts to modernise the institution and to raise awareness of the significance and importance of statistical data. Official statistics are synonymous with high-quality and internationally comparable statistical data, produced by applying appropriate statistical procedures, without external influence. They represent a public good and a fundamental value for democracy, the market economy and the future development of the country.
