Sunflower production in 2025 increased by 5.8% compared to 2024
In 2025, 504,478 hectares of arable land were registered.
In the arable land, a decrease was recorded in vineyards by 1.9%, and an increase in orchards by 1.5%.
In the same period, an increase in sunflower production was recorded by 5.8%, rice by 2.9%, tobacco by 3.5%, and potatoes by 2.3%. Among other crops, a decrease was recorded in tomatoes by 2.6%, peppers by 1.4%, and fodder corn by 33.5%.
In 2025, compared to 2024, a significant decrease in production was recorded in all fruits, from 31.6% in peaches to 54.1% in cherries.
