In 2024, compared to 2023, cultivated areas with organic agricultural production decreased by 10.0%
In 2024, 873 producers were engaged in organic agricultural production.
In the same period, 4 130 hectares of cultivated area were registered, of which 1 477 hectares were areas of organic production in conversion period.
In 2024, compared to 2023, cultivated areas with organic agricultural production decreased by 10.0%.
With 1 862 hectares, cereals had the largest share of the agricultural area used for organic production.
Compared to 2023, the organic production of cereals increased by 10.8%, industrial crop production decreased by 48.4%, fodder crop production grew by 27.8%, vegetable production fell by 18.3%, the organic production of fruits increased by 4.8%, and organic vineyard production declined by 33.1%.
The total number of organic cattle was 9 444, and their share in the total number of cattle was 6.6%.
The share of organic sheep in the total number of sheep was 20.9%, and organic goats participated with 5.2% in the total number of goats.
The production of organic honey in 2024 decreased by 9.3% compared to 2023, while the number of beehives in the same period increased by 1.9%.
