In 2022, 6 384 enterprises were newly created , most of them in service activities.
In 2022, 6 384 enterprise births were registered, which represents 9.6% of the total number of active market-oriented enterprises within the business sector1).
Compared to 2021, an increase in enterprise births by 7.1% was observed.
The enterprise births engage 13 828 people, which represents an increase of 15.3% compared to the previous year. 19.0% of the enterprise births were without employees.
There were 4 437 enterprise deaths in 2021, or 6.7% of the total number of active enterprises, mainly in the Wholesale and retail trade sector.
