In 2023, 29.7% of the active enterprises were in the Wholesale and retail trade section; and 83.3% had 1 to 9 employees.

The data on the structure of active enterprises by sections of activities show that the section with the highest share in the structure in 2023 was Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles with 29.7%.
The data on the structure of active enterprises according to the number of persons employed show that the highest share of 83.3% belongs to enterprises with 1-9 persons employed, followed by enterprises with no persons employed and enterprises with unascertained number of persons employed (no data on persons employed) with 6.9%, and enterprises with 10-19 persons employed with 4.5%. The share of enterprises with 20-49 persons employed was 3.0%, those with 50-249 persons employed participated with 2.0%, while enterprises with 250 or more persons employed had a share of only 0.3%.
