External trade, January 2025, preliminary data
The external trade goods volume increased in January 2025 compared to January 2024
The total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in January 2025 amounted to 35 635.8 million denars, a 5.0% increase compared to the same period last year. The value of imported goods in the same period was 52 262.1 million denars or 5.9% more than the same period last year.
The external trade by products by Standard International Trade Classification shows that in the exports the most significant products are: supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, other supported catalysts and parts of the seats of subgroup 821.1.
In the imports, the most significant products are: petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, the electricity and platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form.
In January 2025, according to the total external trade volume, the most important trade partners of the Republic of North Macedonia were Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Bulgaria and China which make up 48.9% of the total volume of the exchange. The EU Member States are represented by 59.5% in the total exchange.
