External trade, January-December 2023, definitive data

The total value of exported goods from the Republic of North Macedonia in the period January-December 2023 amounted to 512 500.5 million denars, an increase of 0.2% compared to the same period last year. The value of imported goods in the same period was 686 794.9 million denars, or 8.1% less than the same period last year.

The external trade by products by Standard International Trade Classification shows that in the exports the most significant products are: supported catalysts with precious metal or precious metal compounds as the active substance, ignition wiring sets and other wiring sets of a kind used in vehicles, aircraft or ships, parts of the seats of subgroup 821.1 and other supported catalysts.
In the imports, the most significant products are: petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals (other than crude), other metals of the platinum group and alloys thereof, unwrought or in powder form, platinum and platinum alloys, unwrought or in powder form and motor vehicles for the transport of persons, n.e.s..

In the period January-December 2023, according to the total external trade volume, the most important trade partners of the Republic of North Macedonia were Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Serbia and Bulgaria which make up 50.8% of the total volume of the exchange. The EU Member States are represented by 78.7% in the total exchange.
