Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, February 2025

Inflation in February 2025 is higher by 0.5% compared to the previous month

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in February 2025, compared to January 2025, was 0.5%.     
 
The increase of inflation in February 2025, compared to January 2025, is the result of the increase in the consumer prices in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 1.4%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.8%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance and Restaurants and hotels by 0.6%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.5%, Health by 0.2% and Communications by 0.1%.       
In February 2025, compared to January 2025, a decrease in Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Transport by 3.0%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Recreation and culture and Miscellaneous goods and services by 0.2%.     
The Consumer Price Index in the group Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.     
The Retail Price Index in February 2025 compared to January 2025 was 99.4.   
The Consumer Price Index in February 2025, compared to February 2024, increased by 5.0%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 4.2%.
