Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, February 2026

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in February 2026, compared to January 2026 was 0.2%.        

In February 2026, compared to January 2026, an increase in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Education services by 4.0%, Clothing and footwear by 1.1%, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services by 0.9%, Recreation, sport and culture, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.3%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.2%.           

A decrease in inflation in February 2026, compared to January 2026, is the result of the decrease in the Consumer Price Index in the following groups: Transport by 0.8%, Health by 0.6%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.5%, Information and Communication by 0.2%, Restaurants and accommodation services by 0.1%.

The Consumer Price Index in the group Insurance and financial services remained at the same level as in the previous month.

The Retail Price Index in February 2026 compared to January 2026 was 99.7.

The Consumer Price Index in February 2026, compared to February 2025, increased by 2.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 1.6%.
