Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, January 2025

Inflation in January 2025 is higher by 0.2% compared to the previous month

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in January 2025, compared to December 2024, was 0.2%. 
The increase of inflation in January 2025, compared to December 2024, is the result of the increase in the consumer prices in the following groups: Miscellaneous goods and services by 1.6%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 1.5%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.7%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics, Recreation and culture by 0.1%. 
In January 2025, compared to December 2024, a decrease in Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Transport by 0.9%, Communications by 0.4%, Clothing and footwear by 0.2%. 
The Consumer Price Index in the groups: Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Health and Education remained at the same level as in the previous month. 
The Retail Price Index in January 2025 compared to December 2024 was 99.6. 
The Consumer Price Index in January 2025, compared to January 2024, increased by 4.9%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 5.2%.
