Inflation in May 2025 was higher by 1.5% compared to the previous month
Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in May 2025, compared to April 2025, was 1.5%.
The increase in inflation in May 2025, compared to April 2025, is the result of the increase in the consumer prices in the following groups: Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 4.1%, Miscellaneous goods and services by 1.5%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.8%, Clothing and footwear by 0.5%, Recreation and culture by 0.4%, Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.3%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and Health by 0.1%.
In May 2025, compared to April 2025, a decrease in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Transport by 3.6%, Restaurants and hotels by 0.2% and Communications by 0.1%.
The Consumer Price Index in the group Education remained at the same level as in the previous month.
The Retail Price Index in May 2025, compared to April 2025, was 100.2.
The Consumer Price Index in May 2025, compared to May 2024, increased by 3.3%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 1.6%.
