Gross domestic product and gross fixed capital formation by regions, 2023, final data
The Skopje Region had share by 45.9% in the gross domestic product and the Northeast Region by 4.5%.
The Skopje Region had the biggest share, 45.9% in the gross domestic product of the Republic of North Macedonia in 2023, while the Northeast Region had the smallest share, 4.5%.
A higher gross domestic product per capita compared to the average of the Republic of North Macedonia was recorded in the Skopje Region, with an index of 138.2 and Southeast Region with an index of 111.6. All other regions had gross domestic product per capita below the average of the Republic of North Macedonia. 
In 2023, the Skopje Region had the biggest share in the total gross fixed capital formation, 53.2%.

With 16.8%, the biggest increase in the gross domestic product had the Pelagonia Region, in comparison with 2022.
With 107.6%, the biggest increase in gross fixed capital formation had the Polog Region, in comparison with 2022.
