In 2024, 65.5% of the Gross inland consumption are provided by imports
The Gross Inland Consumption in 2024 amounted to 2 541 849 tonnes of oil equivalent (toe). In the structure of this consumption, the largest shares were held by:
- Petroleum products – 44.7%
- Solid fuels – 24.9%
The largest decrease was recorded in lignite, with a decline of 20.9%, and in hydro energy, with a decrease of 15.8%, while the most significant increase of 140.0% was observed in solar electricity.
Final energy consumption in 2024 was 1 859 697 toe, with energy distributed by sector as follows:
- Transport – 47.6%
- Households – 26.1%
- Industry – 16.9%
- Other sectors – 8.4%
