Energy, December 2024, preliminary data
The total gross electricity produced in December 2024 was 554 479 MWh, which represents 70.2 % of the gross national electricity consumption.
In December 2024, the total consumption by types of energy commodities was: 789 741 МWh of electricity, 38.762 million nm3 of natural gas, 379 630tonnes of coal and 92 282 tonnes of petroleum products.
Gross national electricity production participated with 70.2 % in gross national electricity consumption, while 98.4 % of the total national consumption of coals was used for generation of electricity.
Key takeaway
In December 2024, compared to the same month the previous year, increased:
- The total natural gas consumption by 31.2 %
and decreased:
- The consumption of petroleum products by 4.3 %.
