More electricity produced than consumed. The total gross electricity production in June 2025 was 333 640 MWh, or 12.5% more than the gross domestic electricity consumption
In June 2025, the total consumption by types of energy commodities was: 296 651 МWh of electricity, 8.334 million nm3 of natural gas, 357 500 tonnes of coal and 101 113 tonnes of petroleum products.
Gross national electricity production participated with 100% in gross national electricity consumption, while 99.9% of the total national consumption of coals was used for generation of electricity.
Key takeaway
In June 2025, compared to June 2024:
• Natural gas consumption decreased by 54.9% due to reduced operation of cogeneration plants.
• Consumption of petroleum products increased by 9.5 %
