Structure of energy products consumed in the service sectors according to NACE Rev.2, 2023
Based on the data from the Survey on Energy Products Consumption in the Commercial and Service Sector, in 2023 the total final energy consumption in the services sectors amounted to 7 253.151 TJ.
According to the economic activities classified under NACE Rev.2, the highest consumption was recorded in Wholesale and Retail Trade (1 540.732 TJ), Accommodation and Food Service Activities (1 369.514 TJ), Human Health and Social Work Activities (739.687 TJ), and Public Administration and Defence (622.077 TJ).
From an energy perspective, electricity dominates the structure of final energy consumption in the service sectors, accounting for 52.0% of total consumption. It is followed by oil and petroleum products with 21.9% and ambient heat with 10.6%.
Biomass accounts for 6.2%, district heat for 5.6%, and natural gas for 2.6%. Geothermal and solar thermal energy, together with lignite, account for 1.2% of total final consumption.
