Economy-Wide Material Flow Accounts, 2022 and 2023

Domestic material consumption in 2023 was 1.0% higher than in 2022

The domestic extraction in 2023 was 16 572 thousand tonnes.

The direct material input was 23 587 thousand tonnes.. Fossil energy materials, raw and processed had the highest share (35.7%) in direct material input.

The domestic material consumption was 20 200 thousand tonnes, which is 200 thousand tonnes more compared to 2022.

The physical trade balance was 3 628 thousand tonnes, which is 524 thousand tonnes more compared to 2022.
