In 2023, 63.4% of water for the public water supply was abstracted from springs
A total of 293 191 thousand m3 of water were abstracted in 2023 for the purpose of water supply, which represents 2.3 % less compared to 2022. Of the total volume of water abstracted, the highest quantity was from springs, 63.4%, and the lowest quantity was from lakes, 1.0%.
In 2023, the total volume of water distributed from the public water supply was 0.9 % less than the previous year. According to the structure of water consumption, the greatest consumers were households, consuming 68. 9% of the total volume of distributed water from public water supply.
Relative to 2022, the total quantity of wastewater in 2023 was lower by 0.4%.
Of the total quantity of discharged wastewater in 2023, unpurified wastewater accounted for 72.2%, while 27.8% was purified.
