Utilisation and protection of water against pollution by business entities, 2024
In 2024, 27.0% more water was abstracted from water sources than in 2023
The total amount of water abstracted by industrial enterprises in 2024 was 6 841 million m3, in which the share of section D - Electricity, gas, stream and air conditioning supply was the highest with 99.1%.
According to the source of water supply to enterprises, the largest amount of water was supplied from surface water, 49.8%.
The total amount of water used in 2024 was 3 464 million m3 and compared to 2023 increased by 27.0%.
Of the total discharged wastewater in 2024, 22.0% was purified.
