Utilisation and protection of water against pollution in industry, 2023
In 2023, 25.7% more water abstracted from water sources than in 2022
The total amount of water abstracted by industrial enterprises in 2023 was 5 409 million m3, in which the share of section D - Electricity, gas, stream and air conditioning supply was the highest with 99.2%.
According to the source of water supply to enterprises, the largest amount of water was supplied from surface water, 49.9%.
The total amount of water used in 2023 was 2 727 million m3and compared to 2022 increased by 25.3%.
Of the total discharged wastewater in 2023, 12.3% was purified.
