The number of employees in industry in December 2024 decreased by 4.7% in comparison with December 2023
The index of the number of employees in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was 95.3.
The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, decreased by 1.6%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 5.0%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply decreased by 2.5%.
The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was lower in Energy by 3.3%, in Capital goods by 3.0%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 6.3%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.9%, while the number of employees in industry was higher in Durable consumer goods by 25.7 %.
The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - December 2024, in comparison with January - December 2023, was 99.7.
