Indices of the number of employees in industry, May 2025

The index of the number of employees in May 2025, in comparison with May 2024, was 95.7.                                                                         

The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in May 2025, in comparison with May 2024, decreased by 2.4%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 4.5%, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 2.3%.

The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in May 2025, in comparison with May 2024, was lower in Energy by 3.2%, Capital goods by 9.3%, and Non-durable consumer goods by 4.6%. While the number of employees in industry was higher in Durable consumer goods by 12.4% and in Intermediate goods, except energy by 0.1%.

The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - May 2025, in comparison with January - May 2024, was 95.9.
