Indices of the number of employees in industry, October 2024

The index of the number of employees in October 2024, in comparison with October 2023, was 96.8.

The number of employees in industry in the section Mining and quarrying in October 2024, in comparison with October 2023, increased by 4.6 %, and in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 1.1 %.In the Manufacturing sector, there was a decrease of 3.9%.

The number of employees in industry by Main Industrial Groupings in October 2024, in comparison with October 2023, was higher in Energy by 4.6%, Capital goods by 1.5% and Durable consumer goods by 24.3%. In Intermediate goods, except energy was lower by 6.3% and Non-durable consumer goods by 8.6%.

The index of the number of employees in industry in the period January - October 2024, in comparison with January - October 2023, was 100.6.
