Industrial production volume index, February 2025
The industrial production in February 2025, in comparison with February 2024, decreased by 0.8%
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in February 2025, in comparison with February 2024, decreased by 4.4%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 1.7%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 7.7%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions, Manufacture of tobacco products,
- Manufacture of wearing apparel,
- Printing and reproduction of recorded media,
- Manufacture of basic pharmaceutical products and pharmaceutical preparations,
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products,
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products,
- Manufacture of basic metals,
- Manufacture of electrical equipment and
- Manufacture of furniture.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in February 2025, in comparison with February 2024, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 11.7%, Durable consumer goods by 13.2% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.9%, but lower in Energy by 8.3% and Capital goods by 12.1%.
The industrial production index in the period January - February 2024, in comparison with January - February 2023, was 100.2.
