Industrial production volume index, January 2025

The industrial production in January 2025, in comparison with January 2024, increased by 1.4%

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in January 2025, in comparison with January 2024, decreased by 5.1%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 4.4%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it decreased by 4.1%.

The increase in industrial production in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions: 
- Manufacture of food products 
- Manufacture of tobacco products 
- Manufacture of textiles 
- Printing and reproduction of recorded media 
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products 
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products
- Manufacture of basic metals 
- Manufacture of electrical equipment 
- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. 
- Manufacture of furniture

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in January 2025, in comparison with January 2024, was higher in Intermediate goods, except energy by 16.4%, Durable consumer goods by 20.6% and Non-durable consumer goods by 2.3%, but lower in Energy by 8.4% and Capital goods by 8.3%.
