Industrial production volume index, March 2025
The industrial production in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024, increased by 5.2%
The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024, decreased by 1.5%, in the section Manufacturing it increased by 4.8%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 12.9%.
The increase in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to increased production in the divisions:
- Manufacture of tobacco products,
- Manufacture of paper and paper products,
- Printing and reproduction of recorded media,
- Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products,
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products,
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products,
- Manufacture of basic metals,
- Manufacture of electrical equipment and
- Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.
The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in March 2025, in comparison with March 2024, was higher in Energy by 13.8% and Intermediate goods, except energy by 24.3%, but lower in Capital goods by 8.4%, Durable consumer goods by 8.6% and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.0%.
The industrial production index in the period January - March 2025, in comparison with January - March 2024, was 102.0.
