Turnover indices in industry, December 2024

The turnover index in industry, total, in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023 by Main Industrial Groupings was higher in Durable consumer goods by 8.2% and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.3%, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.8% and Capital goods by 26.2%.

The turnover index in industry, total, in December 2024, in comparison with November 2024, was 87.2, while in the period January-December 2024, in comparison with January-December 2023, the turnover index in industry, total, was 89.2.

The decrease in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to decreased turnover in the divisions:

- Manufacture of textiles
- Manufacture of wearing apparel,
- Manufacture of paper and paper products,
- Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products,
- Manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products,
- Manufacture of basic metals,
- Manufacture of fabricated metal products, except machinery and equipment,
- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c.,
- Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers and
- Manufacture of furniture

The turnover index in industry on the domestic market in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was 99.1, and on the non-domestic market, was 85.5.
