Health care expenditures in 2022 decreased by 1.4% compared to 2021

The total current health expenditures in the Republic of North Macedonia in 2022 amounted to 60 567 million denars and decreased by 1.4 % compared to 2021. 

The largest share in the total current health expenditures (by appropriate schemes) have:

- Total expenditures on curative care by 54.8%.
- Total expenditures of hospitals by 38.3%  
- Total government schemes and compulsory contributory health care financing schemes by 57.0%.
