Marriages and divorces, 2023

In 2023 compared to 2022 were registered 1.6% less marriages and 9.4% more divorces

The number of marriages registered in 2023 was 12 672, representing а decrease of 1.6% compared to the previous year. The most marriages were registered in August, 1 597 or 12.6% and the fewest in March 730 or 5.8%.

By marriage order, most were first marriage, with participation of 93.2% for women and 92.2% for men.
Men entered more often into second marriage 7.0% and third marriage 0.8% of the total number of marriages.

In 2023, the highest number of marriages 4 228 or ( 33.4% ) by age of bride and 4 450 or ( 35.1% ) by age of groom were registered in the age group 25-29.

The average age at first marriage is 27.5 years for the bride and 30.1 for the groom.

The highest number of divorces 310 or 17.6% by age of women and by age of men 295 or 16.7% divorces was recorded in the age group 35-39.

According to the duration of marriage, most divorces 393 or 22.3% took place 5 to 9 years after marriage.
