Memorandum of Cooperation signed between the State Statistical Office and the Faculty of Security - Skopje
The Director and employees of the State Statistical Office introduced themselves to the students in attendance with their presentations related to the position and role of the Office in society, the significance of official statistics, the national statistical system and the crime statistics
On April 22, 2025, within the framework of promoting and increasing the scope of cooperation with the academic community, the Director of the State Statistical Office, Dr. Dejan Stankov and the Dean of the Faculty of Security – Skopje, Prof. Dr. Jonce Ivanovski, signed a memorandum of cooperation, which represents the first step towards creating new opportunities for the development of joint projects, seminars and scientific activities in the field of crime statistics.
Additionally, several areas of common interest were identified in which active work could be carried out, related to the possibility of experts from the SSO to participate in round tables organized by the Faculty of Security, presentations for students at the Faculty on the availability and use of data in the field of judicial statistics, the use of anonymized data for scientific research purposes, enabling internships at the SSO for students from the Faculty, etc.
Also, the Director and employees of the State Statistical Office introduced themselves to the students in attendance with their presentations related to the position and role of the Office in society, the significance of official statistics, the national statistical system and the crime statistics.
The discussion raised numerous questions about the manner of cooperation in scientific research, to which the Faculty of Security - Skopje can contribute through its Center for Science and Research.
