The total gross electricity produced in May 2026 was 462 653 MWh, which represents 96.5% of domestic electricity consumption
In May 2026, the total consumption by types of energy commodities was: 479 603 МWh of electricity, 4.463 mil. nm3 of natural gas, 264 997 tonnes of coal and 78 468 tonnes of petroleum products.
Gross national electricity production participated with 96.5% in gross national electricity consumption, while 99.9% of the total national consumption of coals were used for generation of electricity.

In May 2026, compared to May 2025:
- Тhe 4.8% increase in natural gas consumption was driven by the operation of heating plants, whereas these facilities were not in operation in May 2025.
