A total of 12 198.7 million denars of environmental taxes were paid in 2023.
In 2023, energy taxes and transport taxes had an equal share in environmental taxes with 49.4% each, followed by pollution taxes with 1.1%.
The share of environmental taxes in the gross domestic product in 2023 was 0.7%.
