In 2024, 57.0% of water for the public water supply was abstracted from springs
A total of 306 649 thousand m3 of water was abstracted in 2024 for the purpose of water supply, which represents 4.6% more compared to 2023. Of the total volume of water abstracted, the highest quantity was from springs, 57.0%, and the lowest quantity was from lakes, 1.0%.
In 2024, the total volume of water distributed from the public water supply was 2.6% more than the previous year. According to the structure of water consumption, the greatest consumers were households, consuming 69.0% of the total volume of distributed water from public water supply.
Relative to 2023, the total quantity of wastewater in 2024 was higher by 12.0%.
Of the total quantity of discharged wastewater in 2024, unpurified wastewater accounted for 75.5%, while 24.5% was purified.
