Employees and Net Wages – October 2025

The number of employed persons in the Republic of North Macedonia in 2025 was 614 334, of whom 330 240 were men and 284 094 were women.

In 2025, compared to 2024, the total number of employees remained almost unchanged, i.e. decreased by 0.1%. This is primarily the result of a 5.2% decrease in the number of employees in the Manufacturing sector. In contrast, an increase in the number of employees was recorded in the sectors Accommodation and Food Service Activities (5.5%) and Administrative and Support Service Activities (3.3%).
