In 2025, there were 15 850 live births

In 2025, there were 15 932 births, of which 15 850 live births and 82 stillbirths. In 2025, compared to the previous year, the number of live births decreased by 1.3%. The structure of live births by sex was dominated by males with 51.7%, which means there were 106.9 males per 100 females.

By month, the most (1 531) live births were registered in July.

According to the mothers’ age, most (31.7%) were live births to mothers aged 25-29.

The mean age of mothers for all live births was 29.8 years, while the mean age of mothers at first birth was 28.2 years.

Children were most frequently born to mothers from the 1995 birth cohort. 

In 2025, there were 15 live births registered to mothers aged under 15.

The number of live births outside marriage in 2025 was 1 868, which represents 11.8% of the total number of live births.
