Transport of passengers and goods, first quarter of 2026
The quantity of goods carried in freight road transport in the first quarter of 2026 decreased by 19.4 %, compared to the same quarter of the previous year
In the first quarter of 2026, a total of 1 043 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport, 8 306 thousand passengers in urban-suburban transport, 24 thousand passengers in rail transport, and 840 532 passengers were carried in air transport.
In the first quarter of 2026, in comparison with the same period of 2025, the quantity of goods carried in freight road transport decreased by 19.4 %, in rail transport increased by 14.2 %, while in air transport increased by 34.1 %.
