Data exchange agreement signed with the Employment Service Agency
Strengthening the statistical system through data exchange between key institutions
The State Statistical Office, in its capacity as coordinator of the National Statistical System, signed a data exchange agreement with the Employment Service Agency of the Republic of North Macedonia.
On that occasion, a meeting was held at the State Statistical Office between representatives of the two institutions led by the directors, Mr. Dejan Stankov and Mr. Seljatin Beljuli. The meeting discussed the activities currently being undertaken and the challenges faced by the two institutions in their daily work.
The agreement represents an important step in the promotion of the institutional cooperation and enables greater and more efficient use of administrative data for statistical purposes. The data exchange that will be implemented in accordance with the agreed obligations will improve the quality, timeliness and volume of official statistics, thus directly contributing to the creation of data-based policies.
The agreement provides regular and reliable access to data on unemployment, job vacancies, as well as other relevant data for monitoring the situation on the labor market. The information obtained will be used exclusively for statistical purposes, in accordance with the Law on State Statistics and international data protection standards.
This cooperation is aimed at strengthening the National Statistical System and represents another important step towards increasing the use of existing administrative sources as an alternative to traditional statistical surveys, with the aim of efficient use of resources and reducing the burden on reporting units.
