Today, the State Statistical Office hosted a group of students from the American College which together with their professors in the subject of Macroeconomics, Prof. Dr. Blagica Petreski and Prof. Dr. Maja Parnadzieva, attended the lecture of the Director of the State Statistical Office, Dr. Dejan Stankov, on the topic of Basic Economic Indicators.
In his lecture, Director Stankov explained the basic methodological concepts of data on gross domestic product, inflation, poverty and population activity, the method of their calculation and appropriate interpretation.
The lecture was organized within the framework of the activities of the SSO with the academic community to spread statistical literacy and to increase awareness of the importance of official statistics.
