Meeting with the Faculty of Security to determine possibilities for future cooperation
The Director of the Office, Dr. Dejan Stankov, expressed the readiness of the Office to cooperate with the Faculty of Security, especially since one of the priorities of the Office is to promote and increase the scope of cooperation with the academic community.
On February 12, 2025, a meeting was held at the State Statistical Office with the Dean Prof. Dr. Jonce Ivanovski and the professors from the Faculty of Security, at which the possibilities for future cooperation between the two institutions were discussed.
The Director of the Office, Dr. Dejan Stankov, expressed the readiness of the Office to cooperate with the Faculty of Security, especially since one of the priorities of the Office is to promote and increase the scope of cooperation with the academic community.
Representatives of the two institutions identified several areas of common interest in which active work can be done, which relate to the possibility of experts from the SSO to participate in round tables organized by the Faculty of Security, presentations for students of the Faculty on the availability and use of data in the field of judicial statistics, the use of anonymized data for scientific research purposes, internships for students in the final years of the Faculty, etc.
Both sides agreed to begin the cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Cooperation that will specify the activities and the timeframe for their implementation.
