The State Statistical Office regularly conducts part of its statistical surveys through direct interviews with households and the people living in them. These surveys are an important source of data on the social and economic conditions in the Republic of North Macedonia, including, among others, surveys on the labour force, household consumption, time use, as well as other surveys that help us understand the real picture of citizens' lives.
All interview surveys are carried out on the basis of strictly defined methodological principles and samples, with households being selected randomly to ensure data representativeness. More information about the method and procedures of data collection is available on the Data Collection page
The interviewers who conduct interviews with citizens are trained professionals and strictly follow the rules and instructions prescribed by the State Statistical Office during the survey process. For identification and security, interviewers always carry an authorisation issued by the State Statistical Office, and respondents may verify their identity if necessary.
Thank you for your cooperation and contribution to the production of accurate and accessible official statistical data.
