On 27 November 2025, the State Statistical Office hosted the Director of Statistics Sweden, Ms. Eva-Lo Ighe, whose visit represents a significant moment in the advancement of the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions. Within the framework of the meetings held at the State Statistical Office, the previous joint activities, the ongoing bilateral project, as well as the possibilities for deepening the partnership in the future were discussed.
The Director of the State Statistical Office, Dejan Stankov, PhD, emphasized that the institution highly appreciates the support it receives from Statistics Sweden, as well as the professional and structured approach applied within the framework of the ongoing project. He emphasized that a particular value of this cooperation is the fact that the employees of the State Statistical Office, with the support of their colleagues from Statistics Sweden, independently learn, develop new knowledge and skills and actively contribute to the fulfillment of the project goals.
The visit represents an additional incentive for the continuation of the successful cooperation and joint engagement in improving statistical processes, harmonizing with European standards and further strengthening the capacities of the State Statistical Office.
