Organic production, 2025

In 2025, compared to 2024, the arable area under organic agricultural production increased by 24.6%

In 2025, 931 producers were engaged in organic agricultural production.

In the same period, 5 145 hectares of cultivated area were registered, of which 1 902 hectares were areas of organic production in conversion period.

Cereals had the largest share of the area under organic production with 2 444 hectares, which represent 47.5% of the total area.

In 2025 compared to 2024, the areas under organic cereal production increased by 31.3%. An increase in areas was also observed in industrial crops, fodder crops and fruit, while a decrease was observed in vegetables and grapes.

The total number of organic cattle was 9 546 heads, which was an increase of 1.1% compared to 2024. An increase also was observed in the number of organic sheep, by 9.4%, as well as in the number of organic goats, by 0.3%.

The production of organic honey in 2025 increased by 13.1% compared to 2024, while the number of beehives in the same period decreased by 2.6%.
