Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, April 2026

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in April 2026, compared to March 2026, was 1.3%. 

In April 2026, compared to March 2026, an increase in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Transport by 10.1%, Recreation, sport and culture by 1.4%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 1.2%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.7%, Clothing and footwear, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services and Information and Communication by 0.6%, Restaurants and accommodation services by 0.4%, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, Health and Education services by 0.3%.

A decrease in inflation in April 2026, compared to March 2026, is the result of the decrease in the Consumer Price Index in the group Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 0.2%.

The Consumer Price Index in the group Insurance and financial services remained at the same level as in the previous month. 

The Retail Price Index in April 2026 compared to March 2026 was 103.2.

The Consumer Price Index in April 2026, compared to April 2025, increased by 5.7%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 5.0%.
