Consumer Price Index and Retail Price Index, September 2026

Inflation measured through the Consumer Price Index in September 2026, compared to August 2026, remained at the same level.

In September 2026, compared to August 2026, a decrease in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the groups: Recreation, sport and culture by 3.7%, Transport by 3.4%, Restaurants and accommodation services by 0.3% and Information and communication by 0.1%. 

In September 2026, compared to August 2026, an increase in the Consumer Price Index was registered in the following groups: Furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance by 1.3%, Food and non-alcoholic beverages, Personal care, social protection and miscellaneous goods and services by 0.5%, Education services by 0.4%, Clothing and footwear by 0.3%, Health, Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels by 0.2%, Alcoholic beverages, tobacco and narcotics by 0.1%.

The Consumer Price Index in the group Insurance and financial services remained at the same level as in the previous month. 

The Retail Price Index in September 2026, compared to August 2026, was 98.7.

The Consumer Price Index in September 2026, compared to September 2025, increased by 2.7%, while the Retail Price Index increased by 1.7%.
