Environmental Protection Expenditures, 2025

The total environmental protection expenditures in 2025 amounted to 16 978 121 thousand denars. 

The total environmental protection expenditures are allocated by ecological use as follows: 
•    expenditures on wastewater management: 53.49% 
•    expenditures on circulating water supply: 22.24% 
•    expenditures on waste management: 15.43%.

Environmental expenditures include two components: investments in assets for environmental protection and expenditures on maintenance of assets for environmental protection. 

In the total environmental protection expenditures: 
•    the share of investments was 55.87%, 
•    the share of expenditures on maintenance of assets for environmental protection was 44.13%.

Of the total environmental expenditures, the greatest amount was spent in the industry sector and specialised producers, 8 160 132 thousand denars, i.e. 48.06%.

Of the total environmental expenditures made in the industry sector and specialised producers, 16.48% were intended for investments and 83.52% for asset maintenance.

Of the total payments and fees for environmental protection services, the greatest was the share of payments and fees for waste management, 84.22%.
