In 2025, 55.7% water for the public water supply was abstracted from springs
A total of 312 547 thousand m3 of water was abstracted in 2025 for the purpose of water supply, which represents 1.9% more compared to 2024. Of the total volume of water abstracted, the highest quantity was from springs, 55.70%, and the lowest quantity was from lakes, 1.0%.
In 2025, the total volume of water distributed from the public water supply was 2.1% less than the previous year. According to the structure of water consumption, the greatest consumers were households, consuming 66.8% of the total volume of distributed water from public water supply.
Relative to 2024, the total quantity of wastewater in 2025 was lower by 9.80%.
Of the total quantity of discharged wastewater in 2025, unpurified wastewater accounted for 72.6%, while 27.4% was purified.
