Industrial production volume index, August 2026

The industrial production in the section Mining and quarrying in August 2026, in comparison with August 2025, decreased by 10.1%, in the section Manufacturing it decreased by 1.3%, while in the section Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply it increased by 0.8%.

The decrease in the section Manufacturing is mostly due to decreased production in the divisions:

- Manufacture of wearing apparel,
- Manufacture of chemicals and chemical products,
- Manufacture of rubber and plastic products,
- Manufacture of basic metals,
- Manufacture of electrical equipment,
- Manufacture of machinery and equipment n.e.c. and
- Manufacture of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.

The industrial production by Main Industrial Groupings in August 2026, in comparison with August 2025, was lower in Energy by 6.5%, Intermediate goods, except energy by 4.0% and Capital goods by 8.9%, but higher in Durable consumer goods by 5.0% and Non-durable consumer goods by 7.0%.

The industrial production index in the period January – August 2026, in comparison with January – August 2025, was 100.6.
