Violent deaths, 2025

546 violent deaths in 2025

In 2025, there were 546 violent deaths, which is an increase of 6.8% compared to the previous year. Violent deaths accounted for 2.7% of the total number of deaths. 
The structure of violent deaths by sex in 2025, as in previous years, shows higher male participation with 68.5%. 

In the total number of violent deaths, accidents had the highest share with 82.2%, followed by suicides with 14.8% and homicides with 2.9%. 

In the category accidents, the group other external causes of accidental injury was predominant with 43.4% of the total number of violent deaths. 

In the category suicides, deaths by hanging, strangulation and suffocation were most frequent with 7.1% of the total number of violent deaths. 

In the category homicides, the group assault by other and unspecified firearm discharge participated with 1.5% in the total number of violent deaths.
